M. S. Ponnusamy Nadar & Sons has been at 81 Victoria Road for a long time. It’s an old family name and we take pride in just being here and doing what we do. Victoria Road is a well-known street and our building at number 81 is where we spend all our hours. It’s a traditional kind of business. We don't use many computers for the heavy lifting; it’s mostly manual records and talking to people face to face. The family has been involved for generations, so there is a lot of history in these walls. We handle various goods and the days can be quite long when things are busy. It’s not a polished corporate office. It’s a real workplace with dust and the smell of whatever we are moving that day. We don’t go in for flashy advertising or big promises. We just show up and get the job done. People in the neighborhood know us by name and we know them. It’s that kind of place. Sometimes it gets a bit chaotic with all the stuff piled up, but we know where everything is. Running a business like this takes a lot of energy, but we enjoy the pace of it. If you walk down Victoria Road, you’ll see our sign. We've stayed true to how things were done in the past while keeping the doors open today. We're happy to be here.
