Latha Telecom

Our shop is up on the 4th floor at 81 Nethaji Road. It’s a bit of a climb if the lift is being slow, which happens more often than we'd like. We’ve been here at Latha Telecom for a good bit of time now. Most of our day is spent looking at small screens and messing with tiny wires. It’s quiet work, but it keeps our hands busy. People bring in all sorts of stuff, from broken phones to things that just won't turn on for some reason. We try to help out where we can. It’s not a big corporate space with glass walls or anything fancy. It's just a few desks, lots of tools scattered around, and usually some radio playing in the background. Nethaji Road is always noisy, so it’s actually kind of nice being up on the 4th floor away from all the street level chaos. We get a lot of regulars who just walk in to ask a quick question. Sometimes we have to tell people a part will take a few days to arrive, and we hate doing that, but that's how it is. We aren't trying to be the biggest place in town or anything. We just like fixing things and keeping people connected. Sometimes the lunch breaks run a bit long if the conversation is good. We’re just a small crew. If you come by, you’ll probably see one of us hunched over a workbench with a magnifying glass. That’s the daily routine here.
