Krk Traders

We set up Krk Traders at No. 5/1 on West Meath Street. We are right near the railway conson, so you can always hear the trains passing by throughout the day. It’s a bit of a landmark for us. The shop itself is packed with all sorts of things we trade. We don't have a massive showroom or anything like that. Instead, we have boxes stacked high and a counter that’s seen a lot of use. Every morning begins with opening the shutters and checking what stock we have left from the day before. West Meath Street is usually crowded with people moving about, so there’s always something happening outside the door. We deal with various suppliers and try to keep things moving so nothing sits on the shelf for too long. It’s a straightforward business. We buy things, we store them, and we sell them to whoever needs them. Sometimes the paperwork gets a bit messy but we manage to stay on top of it. We don’t spend money on fancy signs or big ads. People know where we are because of the trains and the street we are on. It’s just a regular trading spot where we try to be helpful to the folks who stop in. The dust from the street settles on everything, but that’s just part of being in this part of town. We keep it simple and honest every day we are open.
