Khadi Kraft

Khadi Kraft is right here on Melur Main Road in Othakadai. We are just a few steps away from the R C Church. Most people around here know exactly where we are because we’ve been here for a while now. We keep things quite simple in the shop. You can find different kinds of khadi clothes and some handmade things that people use in their homes every day. It gets a bit busy during the festival times, but mostly it is just the usual faces coming in to see what we have on the shelves. Sometimes the stock takes a bit of time to arrive, but we just manage with what is available. The shop isn't very big or fancy at all. We just open up in the morning, sweep the floor, and wait for people to stop by. Usually, folks are looking for something cotton or just want to see the new handloom stuff. We don't really do much advertising or anything like that. People just walk in while they are going to the church or heading towards the main city. It is a bit dusty sometimes because of the road traffic, but we try to keep things tidy enough. Dealing with the weavers and getting the items sorted takes up most of our morning. It’s just us working here, trying to keep the place going. We don't have any big plans, just being here for the local people who need these kinds of things.
