Kankarajan Store

Kankarajan Store is our small business in Madurai. You can find us at 2/803, Narasingam Road. This area is called Othakadai. We’ve been around here for quite some time now. It’s just a standard store where we sell bits and pieces of everything. People around Narasingam Road know where we are. We don’t use any big words to describe what we do. It’s just a shop. We wake up, open the shutters, and start the day. There are a lot of houses around here, so we see the same people often. We try to have the basics on hand so nobody has to go too far. The building is simple and we don’t have any flashy lights. Madurai is a busy place, but Othakadai has its own pace. We like being part of the street life here. Sometimes we sit outside when it’s slow. We don’t have a website or anything. If you need something, you just walk to 2/803 and see if we have it. We do our best to keep things tidy, but it’s a working shop, so there’s always something to move around. We are just local people running a local spot. It’s how we make our living. No big story behind it, just daily work at the store. We are here every day. It is a long day usually, but that is how it goes for a shop on Narasingam Road. We just keep working.
