Foot Print

We’ve been sitting here at No. 17- A Avenue Street for a while now. It’s right in S. S. Colony, just off the Bye-Pass Road, so there is always a bit of noise from the traffic nearby. Foot Print is just the name on the door, really. Most mornings start with unlocking the gate and watching the neighbors head out for their day. The street gets busy around noon. You see people cutting through from the main road to avoid the signals. We usually have the radio on or just talk among ourselves when things are quiet. It is a simple building, nothing too fancy to look at from the outside. Sometimes the delivery trucks have a hard time finding the exact turn off the Bye-Pass, but they get here eventually. We spend a lot of time just keeping things organized inside. It’s a lot of manual work, moving boxes around and checking things. The Avenue Street area has changed a bit over the years, more shops popping up, but we are still in the same spot at number 17-A. It gets a little dusty because of the road work that never seems to end nearby. We just keep the fan going and get through the list of things to do. There isn’t much to say about Foot Print other than we are here every day. It’s just how we spend our time in this corner of S. S. Colony.
