Engineer

I started working around Theni quite a while back. Ashokkumar is the name on the door here in Okkaraipatti. People usually find us near the Aundipatti area when they need someone to look at technical stuff or help with local projects. It isn't a big flashy office or anything. Just a regular spot where we handle engineering tasks. My father, A. K. Raju, is well known around these parts too. We grew up here, so we know how things work in this part of Tamilnadu. Sometimes the weather gets hot, but we keep busy with the work at hand. It is mostly just me and a couple of others dealing with daily fixes and plans. If you are driving through the village, you might see the sign. It is a quiet place, but we have enough tools to get most jobs done. We don't really do the whole corporate thing with fancy websites. Most of our calls come from folks who just know we are here. Living in Okkaraipatti is peaceful. We just focus on the drawings and the math that comes with being an engineer. It is honest work and keeps us going. Usually, I'm at the desk or out checking on a site near the post office. That is pretty much how we run things day to day. Nothing too complicated, just working hard. If the rains are heavy, things slow down, but otherwise we stay steady. It takes patience to build things right.
