This street is always crowded with people and carts, and the air smells like the city. Our building is an older one, but it holds up well. We do a lot of engineering work here, mostly mechanical stuff. The workshop is usually a bit of a mess with tools and parts scattered around, but we know where everything is when we need it. Tamil Nadu heat is no joke, so we have the fans running full blast all day. We’ve been in this spot for years, and the neighbors all know us. We don't have a website or a big marketing budget. We just do the work that comes in. People stop by the door with something broken, and we take a look at it. It’s a hands-on kind of place. The floors are stained with oil, and the noise of the street comes right through the open door. We stay busy from morning till evening. Madurai is a hard-working city, and we just try to keep up with the pace. It’s not a clean or quiet job, but it’s what we do. 66-A is home to us and our machines, and that’s plenty.
