National Fertilizer Company

Our place is located on East Maasi Street, at number 71- A. If you know this part of town, you know it gets quite busy with traffic and people moving around all day. We deal with fertilizers here at National Fertilizer Company. It’s a lot of heavy lifting, honestly. The bags are stacked up high in the back area. Sometimes the dust from the fertilizer gets in your throat, but you get used to it after a few years. We spend most of our mornings checking the stock and talking to people who come in from the surrounding villages. They need stuff for their crops and we try to have what they are looking for. It’s a simple setup. We don’t have a fancy waiting room or air conditioning. Just a desk, some chairs, and the ledger books. The street outside is always noisy with carts and bikes. Sometimes we sit outside for a tea break when things quiet down a little bit. We’ve been at this address for a long time. It feels like home even though it’s just work. We keep track of the seasons because that’s when the fertilizer moves the most. When it rains, things slow down a bit. We just keep the bags dry and wait for the next sunny day. It’s a straightforward business and we just do our part day by day without making much of a fuss about it.
