Chillies Export House Limited

Chillies Export House Limited is based at 1 B, Madurai Road in Balabagya Nagar South. Even though the name sounds big, we are just a group of people working with sacks of dried chillies all day long. The air here is always a bit spicy because of all the peppers moving around. We spend a lot of time out by the loading area on Madurai Road watching the trucks come and go. Balabagya Nagar South is a busy area so there is always something happening outside our doors at 1 B. We have rows and rows of red chillies that need to be checked and moved. Our hands often sting by the end of the shift but we are used to it by now. The office part of the building is just a few desks and some old filing cabinets that have seen better days. We do a lot of talking on the phone to arrange where the chillies are going next. It gets hot in the afternoons and we usually have the big fans running at full speed. It makes it hard to hear each other sometimes but we manage. Chillies Export House Limited has been at this location for a good while. We don't have a lot of time for sitting around because there is always another truck arriving or another load to prepare. It is hard work but we just keep at it every single day until the job is done. Most days we are tired by the end of it but it is good to get things done.
