Balaji Skin Clinic

Our clinic is at No. 48/15 on Ayyanar Koil 2nd Street. It is a quiet street compared to the main road. Most days, you just hear the occasional scooter or a street vendor calling out. The building is a simple one-story structure with a small gate. We have a little porch where people park their slippers before coming inside. The floor is made of grey stone. It stays cool even when the sun is out. There is a small counter where we sit to talk to people. We have a bench for waiting. It is made of dark wood and is quite old now. People come in for all kinds of skin stuff, mostly things like allergies or heat boils. We do not have any big signs, just a small board outside with the name. Sometimes people miss the turn and have to call us for directions. The 2nd street is easy to find once you see the temple. Inside, the rooms are small. We have basic lights and a ceiling fan that clicks on the medium setting. There is a smell of medicine in the air, but it is not too strong. We start our day around ten and stay open until the evening. It is mostly the same families from around here who visit us. We know most of the faces. It is just a practical clinic for the local folks to get their skin checked.
