B M S Sree Export is based at No. C-99 on Veeraraghava Perumal Street in Thirunagar. We operate out of a building that’s been in the family for a bit. It’s a quiet street for the most part, except when the delivery vans are trying to turn around. We deal with packing and shipping different items out of the city. It’s a lot of paperwork and making sure the boxes are taped up tight. We have a small team here, and we all know each other well. There’s no corporate dress code or anything like that. We mostly wear what’s comfortable for moving boxes around. The office part is just a couple of desks and some old filing cabinets that squeak when you open them. We spend a lot of time on the phone talking to different agents and transport people. Sometimes things go wrong with the shipping schedules, and we have to stay late to sort it out. We don’t have a fancy lobby for visitors. Most people who come here are just workers or drivers. We keep a kettle in the corner for making tea during breaks. It’s a steady business that requires a lot of patience. We just focus on the task at hand and try to make sure everything leaves on time. It’s not glamorous, but it keeps us busy and pays the bills. We just keep at it every single day without fail.
