Asirwatham Store

The shop is right here on Matha Kovil Main Road in K Pudhur. People around Madurai know this area well because of the Matha Temple nearby. We’ve been at 24A for a while now. It is just a regular place where you can find what you need for the house. The morning starts early here because the temple attracts a lot of people and the street gets busy quickly. We see the same faces every day, mostly neighbors coming in for their daily things. Sometimes the heat in Madurai gets to you, so the shop stays a bit cooler inside with the fans going. It’s not a big fancy place, just shelves filled with items like rice, soap, and snacks. The bags are stacked in the corners. We try to keep things organized but sometimes when the delivery comes, it gets a bit crowded with boxes. If you are walking down from the main road, you will see us easily. The sign isn't very large but most folks know where we are. It is just the way things go in Pudhur, everyone has their spot. We stay open until late evening when the lights of the temple come on. It's quiet then. We don't have much of a story to tell, just that we've been here serving the local families and keeping the shelves full. Life moves at its own pace on this road, and we are just a part of that daily rhythm.
