Star Bricks

Our place is located at 81-6-92 on Kurali Road in Napoklu. If you are driving down that way, you will see the stacks of bricks piled up. We spend most of our time out in the yard, making sure the loads are ready for the tractors and trucks that come to pick them up. It’s a lot of manual work, getting the red clay right and making sure the firing process goes okay. The weather is always a big factor for us here. If it rains too much, things slow down and the ground gets really muddy, which makes moving the bricks a real pain. We have a small crew of workers who have been with us for years. They know exactly how to handle the material so nothing breaks. It is a quiet enough area most of the time, except for when the machines are running. We don’t have a big front desk or anything. Usually, if someone wants bricks, they just walk up and find one of us near the kilns. We keep track of everything in a simple ledger. It’s hard work, and your hands are always dirty by the end of the shift, but there’s something good about seeing a finished stack ready to go out. We’ve seen a lot of houses in the area get built using what we make here. That’s just the daily life at our spot on Kurali Road.
