Jm Bricks

Over here at Jm Bricks in Parthinagra, things are pretty straightforward. We don't have a long address or a big office building to show off. It is just the yard where we make and keep the bricks. Parthinagra is a quiet enough place most of the time, but the sound of the loader and the trucks keeps us awake during the day. We get started early before the sun gets too high because once it gets hot, handling the bricks is tough on the back and the hands. The earth around here is good for what we do, but it makes a mess when it rains. We have a small tin roof where we sit to have our lunch and talk about the news or how many loads went out that morning. Most of our days are spent just moving things from one side of the yard to the other. You wouldn't think there is much to say about bricks, but they take up all our time and energy. We keep a tally on the wall of the shed to track the counts because it is easier than trying to use a phone with dusty fingers. The neighbors around Parthinagra know us well and sometimes they drop by for a chat while we are waiting for the next truck to arrive. It is honest work and it keeps us busy enough from Monday to Saturday without much fuss.
