Tlabung Organic Producer Company Limited

We have been working out of Tlabung Chawnpui for quite a while now. It is a quiet place here in Lunglei, and most of us grew up with dirt under our fingernails and a sun hat on our heads. Tlabung Organic Producer Company Limited isn't some big fancy office with glass walls. It is just a group of us trying to make some sense of the land. We spend a lot of our time out in the actual fields, checking on how the crops are doing and making sure things are growing like they should. Some days the rain makes the roads nearly impossible to drive on, but we usually manage to get through eventually. We aren't trying to change the whole world, we are just trying to get good food out of the ground without using all those harsh chemicals people always talk about these days. It is hard work, honestly. Your back starts to hurt by noon and the sun doesn't show much mercy during the summer months. But when you see the harvest finally coming in, it feels right. We handle everything right here in the local area ourselves. Sometimes we just sit around after a long day of work and talk about what we should plant for the next season. It isn't always easy to coordinate everyone in the collective, but we have known each other for years, so we find a way. If you ever come by Lunglei, you will see how we do things.
