Vicky Beauty Centre

Vicky Beauty Centre is tucked away at 4 Sector 40 A, right near Jamalpur Chowk. If you know the chowk, you know how hectic it can get with all the rickshaws and people moving about. Our shop is a busy little place. There is usually the sound of hair dryers running or people chatting about their day. We aren't one of those high-end salons with white walls and soft music. It’s more of a neighborhood spot where everyone knows each other. We have a few chairs and mirrors, and the floor usually has some hair on it that we’re about to sweep up. We spend long hours on our feet, especially on weekends when everyone wants to look their best for a party or a wedding. Sometimes the tea guy from around the corner brings us a round of drinks when we can't leave the shop. It’s a lot of hard work, but we enjoy the company of our regulars. We’ve seen kids grow up and start coming here on their own. The space isn't huge, but we make it work. We don't have a big marketing plan or a fancy website. People just come in because they live nearby or they saw the sign while passing through Sector 40 A. It’s just us doing what we know how to do, day in and day out. When the evening comes, we finally get to sit down for a minute before heading home.
