Venus Salon & Academy

Venus Salon & Academy is over at 37 D in Sarabha Nagar, right opposite the church. It is a nice part of Ludhiana, but we keep our shop pretty down to earth. We do two things here. One side is the regular salon where people come to get their hair cut or a facial. The other side is where we teach. We have students coming in to learn the trade, so you might see some young people practicing on mannequins or helping out with the towels. It makes the place feel alive. We aren't a big chain; it's just a local spot where we try to pass on what we know about beauty and hair. The chairs are usually full in the afternoons. We try to keep the atmosphere calm, especially since the church is right there and it’s a quiet street. We don't go for those flashy advertisements. Most of our customers come because their mother or their neighbor told them about us. We use standard products that you’d find in any good home. It's about the skill in the hands more than the name on the bottle, anyway. If you want to learn how to do this for a living, or if you just need to look decent for a party, you can find us across from the church. We’re usually there from morning until late evening.
