The Grooming Lounge

The Grooming Lounge is split between two places in Ludhiana. We have the branch office over at 197-R in Model Town and then the other spot is at SCO 20 in the Sarabha Nagar Main Market. It keeps us moving back and forth quite a bit during the day. Sarabha Nagar is usually the busier one because of the market, so there is always noise from the street. Model Town is a little more tucked away and quieter. We spend most of our time standing around the chairs or cleaning up the hair from the floor. It is just a normal job for us. We started this because we knew how to cut hair and wanted to stay in Ludhiana. The shop in the market gets a lot of people just walking by who decide they need a trim on a whim. We try to keep things organized but sometimes when it's raining or very hot outside, everything slows down. We don't have a big staff, just a few of us who have been doing this for years. The towels are always in the wash and the mirrors need constant wiping because of the dust from the road. We see a lot of the same people every month and we know what they like without them having to ask us. It is just how things go in a local place like this. We are just here doing the work every day. There is nothing very special about it, just a place for men to get groomed.
