Our shop is over in Model Town, at 312-L. It’s quite a busy area, especially because Guru Nanak Public School is right nearby. You can always tell when school is letting out because the street fills up with cars and kids. We’ve been here in Ludhiana for a bit now. The space inside isn’t huge but we make it work. We have a few chairs and some mirrors along the wall. Most of the people who come in are from around the neighborhood. They stop by for a quick trim or to get their hair done for a wedding in the family. We don't really do much advertising. Mostly people just see the sign while they're walking by or heading to the school. Sometimes it gets a bit crowded on Saturdays and people have to wait on the little chairs we have near the door. We usually have the radio on in the background, playing some local songs. It helps pass the time. The lighting is okay, maybe could be better, but we see well enough to do the job. We keep the scissors sharp and the combs clean. That’s really all you need. It’s not a corporate place with uniforms. We just wear what’s comfortable and talk to the customers like normal people. It’s a friendly spot in a busy part of town. Sometimes we run out of tea by four, but nobody seems to mind too much.
