Sidhu Hospital

This hospital is located right on the G.T. Road in Doraha. It’s a big, busy road so there’s always something happening outside our doors. Inside, it’s a bit different. We have the usual hospital smells and the sound of trolleys moving around. The staff here has been together for a good bit of time. We aren’t a massive corporate chain, just a local hospital trying to keep things running smoothly for the people in Doraha. You can see the G.T. Road traffic from some of the upper windows. It’s a lot of trucks and cars going past day and night. We have the different wards and the reception area where someone is usually sitting. The chairs in the waiting room have seen better days but they do the job. We spend a lot of time on our feet. Sometimes the tea man comes by and that’s the highlight of the afternoon. We don’t have any big speeches to give about what we do. It’s just medicine and taking care of whoever walks through the door. It gets quite hectic during certain hours, and other times it’s just the hum of the fans. We’ve tried to make the place as comfortable as a hospital can be without making it look like a hotel. It’s a practical place for practical needs. We just stay focused on the work at hand and hope to help the locals who come in. It’s been our spot on the road for years.
