Sewa Grand Hotel

Over here in Ludhiana, specifically at H.M.-50 in Jamalpur Colony, we run Sewa Grand Hotel. Punjab is a place that feels different in every season, and we’ve seen them all from this spot. The winters get really cold here, and we spend a lot of time making sure there are enough blankets for everyone. In the summer, it’s the opposite, and we’re all about the fans and the coolers. Jamalpur is a decent colony, mostly residential, so it’s not as chaotic as the center of the city, but it still has its busy moments. We don't use a lot of fancy words to describe what we do. We just have rooms for people who need them. The building is a bit older, so there’s always something that needs a little bit of paint or a door that squeaks a little. We handle it as it comes. We’re not part of some giant chain; it’s just us. We know the local shops and where to get the best chai on the corner. Our staff are local people, so they don't talk like they’re in a movie. They just talk like neighbors. We don't have a mission statement or a list of core values on the wall. We just try to be helpful and keep the place running. It’s a simple life, and we like it that way. We just keep the gates open and wait for whoever comes down the road next to stay with us.
