Raman Textiles

Raman Textiles is located at G-V-911 on Sekhowal Road, right in Gai No. 2. It’s a busy street with lots of traffic, so there’s always the sound of horns and engines outside. Inside the shop, it’s a different world with rolls of fabric stacked everywhere. We have cottons, synthetics, and some heavier materials too. The air usually has a bit of lint floating around, which is just part of working with textiles. We spend the day unrolling cloth, measuring it out with a wooden meter stick, and cutting it for customers. Our scissors are heavy and we have to sharpen them quite often. The floor is concrete and can get pretty cold in the winter. We don't have a lot of space for people to walk around because we try to fit as much stock as possible onto the shelves. Sometimes we get a bit overwhelmed when a big delivery comes in and we have to find room for all the new bolts of fabric. We’ve been on Sekhowal Road for a long time, so we know most of the other shopkeepers around here. It’s a simple life of buying and selling cloth. We don't use fancy computers for everything; a lot of our notes are still kept in a big ledger book on the counter. It’s just a basic textile shop where we work hard and keep things moving. We prefer the old way of doing business face to face.
