Jatin Malhotra Photography

I’ve been doing this for a while now here in Rishi Nager. Jatin Malhotra Photography is basically just me and a couple of helpers when things get busy. It started out as a hobby because I liked taking pictures of my friends and family during festivals. People started asking if I could do their weddings or parties, so I figured I might as well make it a real job. We spend most of our days out on shoots or sitting at the computer trying to get the colors just right. It’s a lot of work, more than people think. Sometimes the lighting is bad or the weather doesn't help, but we just deal with it. I like being based in this part of town because everyone knows everyone. It’s not a fancy studio with big signs, but it works for us. We keep our gear in the back and there's usually a mess of cables somewhere. If you walk by Rishi Nager, you’ll probably see us loading the car with tripods. We don't really have a big staff meeting or anything, we just talk about what needs to be done over tea. It’s a simple setup. I try to keep things honest. If a photo looks good, it looks good. We don't try to over-edit things until they look fake. That's just how we do things here. It's steady work and it keeps us busy enough throughout the year. Most of the time we are just focused on the next job.
