Public Clinic

The doors at Public Clinic here in Nagra Samrala usually get opened pretty early, right when the sun is starting to get hot over the village. We’ve been at this VPO Nagra spot for a while now, and it’s just a normal, small place where people come in when they aren't feeling their best. There is nothing fancy about the rooms. We have some plastic chairs and a desk that’s seen better days, but it works for what we do. Most mornings, you can hear the tractors passing by outside on the main road while we get things ready. It gets a bit dusty because of the location, so someone is always sweeping the floor or wiping down the benches. People from around the village know where we are, right near the main path. It’s not like those big hospitals in the city where everything is white and cold. Here, it’s mostly just us and the regulars who drop by. Sometimes the power goes out and we have to sit by the window for light, but we manage. We try to keep things simple because that is what everyone expects around here. There is a small fan that rattles a bit in the corner, and the walls could probably use a fresh coat of paint eventually. It is just a practical space for the community. We stay busy enough most days, just taking care of whatever walks through the door without making a big fuss about it.
