P. K. Watch & Company

We are located right opposite the Royal Hostel for Boys in Ghumar Mandi. It’s a very active part of town. Our shop is a small place where we keep all the watches and do repair work. Most days you’ll find us sitting at the counter fixing a watch strap or changing a tiny battery. We get a lot of the students from the hostel coming in. They usually want something cheap that works well. We have some nicer brands too, but the basic ones sell the most. The shop feels a bit small when more than two people are inside. We’ve been in Ghumar Mandi for a long time now. People around here know us quite well. We don't try to be something we’re not. If a watch is too old to be fixed, we just say so. We don't want people to waste their money. Our glass cases are full of different styles. Some have metal bands and others are just plastic. The lighting inside isn't the best, but we have our desk lamps for the detailed work. The noise from the street is constant but we don't even hear it anymore. We just focus on the gears and the springs. It’s a regular routine for us. We sell some watches, fix a few more, and then close up for the night. That’s how it goes at P. K. Watch & Company.
