The trucks and cars are always passing by, and it’s been that way since we opened O K & Company Property Dealer. It’s a straightforward place. We don’t have a lot of decorations on the walls, maybe just a calendar and a map of the local blocks. The office is small but it serves the purpose. People around here know us as the local property guys. We spend most of our mornings checking on new listings or just talking to the neighbors. Chet Singh Nagar has a lot of history, and we’ve seen houses change hands many times over the years. It’s not always easy work, especially when the paperwork gets complicated or the weather is too hot to go out. We just sit here with the fan on and handle things one at a time. It’s a very local business. We don’t use any of those big computer systems to track everything; a lot of it is still written down in our big registers. It feels more real that way.
