Amolak Cycle Industries

Moti Nagar is where we’ve been for a long time now. Amolak Cycle Industries is the name on the signboard outside, though most people around here just know us as the cycle guys. We spend most of our mornings opening up the shutters and moving the bikes out onto the sidewalk so people can see them. It gets a bit dusty with all the traffic passing by, but that’s just how it is in this part of town. I usually have a cup of tea while I look over what needs fixing for the day. There’s always a pile of tires in the corner and a few frames waiting for parts to come in. We aren't a big fancy showroom or anything like that. It’s just a practical space where we get things done. Sometimes the neighbors pop in to chat while we’re working on a chain or a pedal. The tools are a bit old, and the floor isn't exactly spotless, but it works for us. We’ve seen the neighborhood change quite a bit over the years, yet we’re still here doing the same thing every day. It’s not a complicated life, just keeping cycles moving and making sure the shop stays open. I don’t think much about the business side of things, I just focus on the work right in front of me. If the weather is nice, we leave the door open to get a breeze. When it rains, everything gets moved back inside and we just wait it out.
