We’ve been sitting here on Pakhowal Road for quite some time now. Our office is right opposite Shaheed Bhagat Singh Nagar, so it’s pretty easy to find if you’re driving by. Most days are just spent talking to neighbors and people looking to buy or sell something in the area. It’s not a big fancy setup, just a regular place where we keep track of what’s happening with the plots and houses around here. Sometimes the traffic outside gets a bit loud, but it’s a good spot to be in. We know most of the streets around here like the back of our hand. People usually just walk in when they see the sign. We try to keep things simple. If someone wants to know the price of a plot, we tell them what we know. There’s no big sales pitch or anything like that. It’s mostly just local talk and paperwork. My desk is always a bit of a mess with maps and old files, but I know where everything is. We’ve seen the neighborhood change a lot over the years. New buildings coming up and more cars on the road every month. But we stay right here. It’s a busy life, but it’s what we do.
