Mehnaz Hair Sallon

Mehnaz Hair Sallon is situated right opposite the LIG Flat at Samrala Chowk in Ludhiana. This is a very busy part of the city where the roads are always full of cars and rickshaws. Our salon is a humble little place where we focus on hair cutting and basic grooming. It’s not one of those high-end places you see in the malls. We have a simple setup with a few chairs and the necessary tools for our trade. Most of our customers are people who live in the LIG flats or work around Samrala Chowk. They come to us because we are convenient and they know they can get a decent haircut without any trouble. We have been here for a while now, so we’ve become a bit of a fixture in the area. The shop is often full of the sound of scissors and the hum of clippers. Sometimes we have a small TV running in the corner showing the news or a cricket match. We don't have any big missions or slogans. We just open up in the morning, sweep the floor, and wait for the first customer to arrive. It’s a practical way to make a living and we enjoy talking to the different people who come in. Each person has a story, and we hear a lot of them throughout the week. It’s just how a local Ludhiana shop operates.
