Mehan Paints & Chemicals

Our place is between Cheema Chowk and Campa Cola Chowk, which is near Gill Chowk. It is a very busy spot with trucks and motorcycles passing by at all hours of the day. We deal in paints and various chemicals for industrial use and home projects. There is usually a faint smell of solvent in the air, but you stop noticing it after a few minutes of being inside. The floor is made of old concrete and it has plenty of stains from spills that happened years ago. We spend a lot of time moving heavy tins and metal barrels from the back to the front. It is not the kind of shop where you want to wear nice clothes because you will probably get something on them. Most of our visitors are contractors or guys who work in the nearby workshops. We have a lot of items tucked away in the back rooms where the light is not very good. Sometimes it takes us a little while to find the exact chemical or paint a customer is asking for, but we usually find it eventually. We do not have fancy signs or a big window display. People come to us because they know we have been here for a long time. The work is mostly lifting and loading all day. We do not have a website or anything like that; we just focus on the physical shop and the inventory. It is a bit of a gritty environment, but it is just how the business is.
