Max City Hospital Trauma Centre

Our trauma centre is located in Ludhiana. Being in a city like Ludhiana, things move fast and it can be quite loud outside. The building itself is set up to handle the specific kind of work we do here. It is not a place for relaxation; it is a place where things happen quickly. We have wide hallways so that we can move things through easily. The lighting is very bright and stays on all the time. There is a lot of metal and plastic around, from the beds to the carts we push. We don't have any fancy art on the walls or expensive rugs. Everything is chosen because it can be cleaned quickly and used again right away. Our days are never really the same. Sometimes it is quiet for an hour, and then suddenly it is very busy. We spend a lot of our time on our feet, moving between the different sections. Ludhiana is a big industrial place, so there are always people around. We have a small area where people can wait, but most of the space is dedicated to the actual medical areas. It is a bit of a maze if you aren't used to it, with all the different rooms and storage spots for supplies. We just focus on the tasks we have in front of us. It is a plain, functional place that stays busy round the clock. We see a lot of people every day and just try to get the job done.
