Krishna Beauty Corner

If you’re walking down the Main Road in Ludhiana and you get near Khushi Ram Halwai, you’ll find us at Shop No-13. It’s a busy spot because everyone loves those sweets from next door. Sometimes the smell of frying samosas comes right into the shop. We call it Krishna Beauty Corner. It’s a small, cozy space where we do all sorts of beauty work. It’s mostly local women from the surrounding streets who come in. They might be getting ready for a party or just want to feel a bit better for the week. We have some thread, some wax heaters, and our hair tools all ready to go. The shop isn't big, so things can feel a bit tight when three or four people are waiting. We have a small bench for them to sit on. We keep a stack of old magazines, but usually, people just talk to each other while they wait. It’s like a little community hub. We don't have a receptionist or a computer system. We just remember who is next and keep track of things in a notebook. It’s worked for us so far. The Main Road is always noisy with traffic, but inside we just focus on our work. It’s a simple, honest way to make a living in Ludhiana. We might not have fancy lights, but we have enough heart to keep the regulars coming back.
