Kapoor Dental Clinic

The clinic sits on Shiv Puri Rd, right near the Tootian Wala Mandir. If you know the temple, you’ve probably walked past our front door a dozen times without thinking much of it. We started this place because the neighborhood needed someone to look at teeth without making a big, expensive production out of every little cavity. It’s a small space, really. We have a couple of chairs and a sink that sometimes makes a funny gurgling noise when the water runs too fast. People from Shiv Puri come in when they have a problem or if their kids need a checkup before the new school term starts. We don't spend much on decorations. Some posters on the walls talk about brushing, but they’ve been there for years and the edges are curling. The traffic on Shiv Puri Rd is always noisy, so you hear the constant horns and the street vendors while you’re sitting in the chair. It’s just part of being in this neighborhood. We open up early and usually stay until the last person is seen. Sometimes we run out of tea in the back room, which is a bit of a disaster for us, but the work goes on regardless. It’s a plain, honest setup. We don’t promise anything magical, just standard dental work like anyone would expect. Most of our days are spent cleaning tools and writing notes in the big patient ledger. It’s a steady life here near the temple.
