Hussan Nikhar Beauty & Hair Salon

We've been here at 167 Dayal Nagar for a while now. Ghumar Mandi is a busy part of Ludhiana, especially near L Park where people go for their morning walks. Our salon is just a regular spot where people from the neighborhood come to get their hair cut or do some beauty stuff. Sometimes the power goes out and we just sit and talk while waiting for it to come back. We have a few chairs and mirrors that have been here since we first opened the doors. It’s nothing fancy or high-end, just a place to get tidy and feel a bit fresh. My brother usually handles the hair side of things while I look after the rest of the shop. The morning starts with sweeping the front and making sure there's enough water in the tanks. On weekends, it gets quite crowded and people wait outside or walk over to the park for a bit until their turn comes. We know most of the people who come in by their first names or which house they live in. It’s nice living and working in the same area because you see the same faces every day going to the market. We don't have a big glowing sign, just the name on the door. If you are looking for us, we are right there near the corner. It gets a bit dusty because of the road, so we are always cleaning. That's just how it is.
