Honey Karyana Stores has been sitting here on the East End Main Road in Model Town for a good while. It’s a family-run place, so there’s usually one of us behind the wooden counter from early morning until we shut the heavy shutters at night. We stock all the basic stuff like flour, pulses, spices, and cleaning things for the house. It's the kind of store where you don't have to wander through huge aisles; everything is right there within reach if you just ask us. The shelves are a bit crowded, and sometimes we have cardboard boxes sitting on the floor when a new delivery arrives, but we manage to find our way around them. Being on the main road means there's a lot of traffic and noise passing by, but we have our loyal regulars who come in every week for their groceries. We don’t do much in the way of fancy displays or bright lighting. It’s more about having what people need when they suddenly run out of salt or tea leaves. Sometimes the weather makes the front a bit dusty since we’re right by the road, but we keep the stock inside clean. We’ve grown up in this area, so we know the neighbors and what they like to buy. It’s just a honest, small-scale grocery business. We don't have a website or anything like that, just a phone and a notebook to keep track of our orders. We just try to keep the prices fair for everyone who stops in.
