Hazzam Salon

We’ve been here in Haibowal Kalan for quite a while now. Most people know us because we are right on Street No-9 in Durgapuri. It’s a busy little area, especially near Mandir Wali Gali where the crowd is always moving. We opened Hazzam Salon because we live nearby and noticed there wasn't a simple place to just get a decent haircut without a lot of fuss. The shop isn't very big, but it stays clean. We have a few chairs and some mirrors that have seen a lot of faces over the years. Some mornings it is quiet, and then by the afternoon, the place is full of guys talking about their day or what is happening in Ludhiana. We don't do anything fancy here, just the usual hair cutting and shaving. You can find us easily if you know the temple lane. Sometimes the power goes out, or the street gets a bit dusty, but that is just how things are here. We try to keep the fans running and the towels fresh for whoever walks in. It is mostly just us working through the day, taking breaks for tea when it’s slow. We don’t have a big sign or anything, but folks find their way to us anyway. It feels good to be part of the neighborhood and see the same people every month. We keep the doors open even when it’s hot outside because the air needs to circulate. We know most of our customers by their first names and they know us too. It's just a regular life here on the street.
