Hair Inn Designer Salon is situated at SCF 27 on the ground floor of Phase 2 Urban Estate in Jamalpur, Ludhiana. Being on Chandigarh Road, there is always a lot of traffic passing by, and the area feels quite modern compared to the older parts of the city. I spend a lot of time here, making sure everything is in its place. The shop is on the ground floor, which makes it easy for people to just walk in from the street. We do a mix of different hair styles and grooming work for the people living in the estate. Ludhiana is a city where people like to keep up appearances, so we see a lot of different requests. The interior is simple enough; we have some decent chairs and the lighting is bright so we can see what we are doing. It’s not one of those overly polished places you see in the malls, but we keep it tidy. Sometimes the music is playing in the background, and there’s usually some talk going on between the staff and the customers. We don't have any fancy mission statements or anything like that. We just show up, open the shutters, and get to work on whoever sits in the chair. It’s a good way to earn a living, and we’ve gotten to know the neighborhood families pretty well over the months and years.
