Gupta Medi Equip. Co. is located at No. 2734/1 on Street No. 5 in Vishkarma Town, Ludhiana. Being in a city like Ludhiana, you get used to the industrial feel of almost every street you walk down. Our building is a simple two-story structure. The ground floor is where we keep all the medical equipment and boxes, and the top floor is mostly used for the paperwork and records. It is a bit of a maze sometimes with all the boxes stacked up towards the ceiling. We deal with various medical tools and kits, so we have to be quite careful about how things are stored and moved. The street outside is usually very busy with cycles and small trucks moving through the narrow lanes. We have been in this spot since the early days of this part of town. The staff is mostly people who live in the neighborhood. We do not have a big corporate structure or anything like that. It is more like a family business where everyone chips in with whatever needs doing. On cold Punjab mornings, we start with some hot tea and go over the various orders for the day. There is a lot of checking and re-checking involved to make sure the right items are going to the right clinics. Most people in town know us because we have been on Street No. 5 for so many years now.
