Glamour Hair Saloon is over in Abdullapur Basti, right near the railway fatak. If you know the main market in Abdullapur, you probably know where we are. We sit right opposite Shri Guru Kripa Dairy. It’s a busy spot in Ludhiana with the trains going by and the dairy customers coming and going. The shop itself is pretty straightforward. We have the usual barber chairs and some posters on the walls. It’s a place for a quick haircut or a beard trim. We don't have any fancy air conditioning that works all the time, but we keep the doors open for the breeze. Most of our customers are men from the neighborhood who just want their hair looked after. We’ve been in this market for some time now. You can hear the sounds of the street while you're sitting in the chair. Sometimes we talk about the local news or just stay quiet while we work. It’s not a spa; it’s just a hair saloon. We make sure the razors are sharp and the towels are clean. People like that we are easy to find and right on the main road. The railway crossing can be a bit loud, but you get used to it. We just do our work and go home like everyone else in the Basti. We don't really have a big team, just a few of us who have been cutting hair for a long time. We stay open late enough for the office workers to stop by on their way back home.
