Our office is located at Bengali Chouraha, right on Kanadiya Road. If you know the area, we are quite near the Jain Mandir, which makes it easy for people to find us when they are coming from different parts of the city. Being at such a busy crossing means there is never a quiet moment. You can hear the bikes and cars outside all day long. We have been at this spot for a while, dealing with property matters for the locals. It is just a small team of us here. We don't spend much time on decorations; the shelves are mostly full of old files and registers. Usually, the morning starts with sweeping the floor and checking the messages left from the night before. People drop in because they saw our sign while waiting at the traffic light. We talk about local plots, houses for rent, or whatever else is happening in the real estate market around here. It is practical work, nothing glamorous. We know the shortcuts and the backlanes of Kanadiya Road like the back of our hands. Sometimes the power goes out and we just sit by the door to get some light while we talk to whoever is visiting. It is just a regular local business trying to keep things moving forward in this part of Indore. And that is pretty much how every week goes by for us.
