Gagan Kalia

I’m located over in Sector 38, right on Chandigarh Road in the Urban Estate area. It’s a bit further out than the old city center, which I actually prefer because the roads are a little wider and parking isn't such a nightmare for me or my visitors. My office is a straightforward space. I don’t believe in having a lot of fancy trimmings that don’t serve a purpose. There’s a desk, some chairs for visitors, and my computer. Gagan Kalia is the name on the door, but it’s really just a place where I spend my hours looking over papers and figures. The neighborhood is mostly residential with some businesses mixed in, so it’s got a different vibe than the busy markets. People from the Urban Estate find it convenient to just drop by on their way home. I’ve lived in Ludhiana my whole life, so I know how people like to do business here—mostly face to face and with a bit of conversation first. It’s not a corporate environment at all. We might talk about the weather or the local news before we even get into the actual work. I think that makes people feel more at ease. The office can get a bit dusty because of the construction that always seems to be happening nearby, but we keep it clean enough. It’s just a regular local office doing regular work for regular people.
