Gagan Art Gallery

You have to walk up to the second floor to find Gagan Art Gallery. We are at Shop No 6 on Dr Rajkumar Road, right near the Gaushala Road intersection. It’s a bit of a climb, and the stairs are old, but once you get up here, it’s a lot quieter than the street below. Daresi Road is always packed with people and traffic, so being on the second floor gives us a little bit of peace. The shop is filled with various pieces we’ve collected or worked on. There’s always a bit of a smell of paint or dust in the air, but that’s just how it is with an art gallery. We don't have fancy lighting or expensive carpets. It’s just a plain room where the art does the talking. Most people who come up here are looking for something specific or they’ve heard about us from a neighbor. We spend a lot of time just moving frames around or cleaning the glass. It’s a small operation, mostly just us and the occasional visitor. Sometimes we sit by the window and watch the chaos down on Gaushala Road while we drink our chai. It’s a good spot, even if it's tucked away. We’ve been here for a long time and the locals know where to find us. We don't do much advertising; people just seem to stumble in or find us through word of mouth. It’s a simple business for people who like art.
