Fortis Hospital

If you go about 6kms from Samrala Chowk out on Chandigarh Road, you will find Fortis Hospital. It’s tucked away a bit further out from the main city center, which changes the vibe a little. Being on Chandigarh Road means there’s a lot of transport passing by, mostly trucks and people heading between cities. It’s a long stretch of road, so you have to keep an eye out for the turn-off once you pass that 6km mark from the Samrala Chowk area. We are just a local hospital trying to take care of the people who live out this way or those who are traveling along the highway. It’s not a very complicated setup here. We have the usual rooms and staff you would expect. Some days are quieter than others, but Chandigarh Road is usually humming with noise from the traffic. We don’t really use big words to describe ourselves because we are just a regular part of the landscape now. People know us as the Fortis Hospital near the chowk, and that’s fine by us. It’s easy to find if you follow the odometer from Samrala Chowk. We don’t have a lot of flashy signs, just the name of the hospital on the side of the building. We just stay busy with our work and don’t worry too much about the rest. It’s a practical place for practical needs.
