Dr. Arun Thapar Clinic

You can find Dr. Arun Thapar Clinic over at No 1 Gomti House on Mall Road. It’s a well-known building, so usually, people don’t have much trouble getting here. Even though Mall Road always has something going on outside, we try to keep the inside of the clinic more relaxed. The space is part of Gomti House, which has an old-school feel to it. Dr. Thapar has been practicing here for a long time. The clinic itself is pretty basic—we have a waiting area and the doctor's room. High-tech scheduling systems aren't used; we just write things down and see people as they arrive. This manual way of doing things has worked for us for years. Some days are busier than others, especially when the weather changes and everyone gets a cough. My day is spent making sure the chairs are lined up and the water cooler is full. It’s a steady job. Most patients are regulars who like coming to Mall Road because it’s central. We don't have a big staff, just enough to keep the doors open and the place running. It’s a simple, regular clinic where the focus is just on the people who need to see the doctor. We’re here most days if you need to stop by. Sometimes we run out of tokens if it is really busy, but we manage to get through the day.
