Dotway

Dotway is located out in Village Kaddon, right along the G T Road in Doraha. Being on the highway means there is a constant hum of traffic passing by, from big lorries to motorcycles. Our place is simple and sits right on the edge of the village. It’s the kind of spot where you can see the fields not too far away, but you still have the busyness of the road right in front of you. We spend our days inside, mostly keeping track of things and making sure everything is running. The dust from the G T Road settles on everything if we leave the windows open too long, so we’ve learned to keep them shut during the day. It’s a small operation here in Doraha. Most of the people working here are from around the area, so we all know each other’s families and what’s going on in the village. We don’t have a website that’s updated every day or a fancy office manager. It is just us, some chairs, and the work that needs doing. Sometimes the power goes out in the afternoon, and we just sit outside for a bit until it comes back on. It’s a slow pace in some ways, but the highway keeps us feeling connected to the rest of the world. We just take it one day at a time and try to stay busy.
