Deepak Dairy & Ice Cream Parlour is down on CST Road 2 in the Salem Tabri area. If you live around here, you probably know the spot because we have the big coolers running all the time. Being a dairy shop means we have to be up very early before the sun even thinks about coming out to handle the milk deliveries. The milk comes in and we have to get it sorted out quickly so it stays fresh for everyone in the neighborhood. Later in the day, the ice cream side of things picks up, especially when it is hot outside like it usually is. Kids come in after school with their coins and families walk over after dinner to get a treat. CST Road can be a bit dusty and the shop isn't anything special to look at from the outside, but we keep the fridges cold and the milk stocked. It is a family thing mostly, so you will see the same faces behind the counter every day. We don't do any big fancy ads or anything like that, we just rely on the people living nearby in Salem Tabri to keep us going. Sometimes the power goes out and we have to scramble to keep everything from melting, which is always a bit of a headache. But most days are just quiet and steady and we like it that way. We just keep serving the milk and ice cream until the lights go off for the night.
