Civil Dispensary

The Civil Dispensary is a small spot in Gopalpur. Most of the folks who live in the village come here when they aren't feeling well. We aren't a large hospital with hundreds of beds; we’re just a local dispensary handling the everyday health stuff. If a kid scrapes their knee or someone has a nagging cough, they walk through our doors. It’s a simple building, nothing too modern, but it serves its purpose for the community. In the mornings, there’s usually a small crowd waiting outside before we even open. The walls could probably use a fresh coat of paint, but they hold up well enough. We try to help everyone who comes in. Sometimes we have all the medicines people need, and other times we have to tell them where else to look. It’s just the way things are in a small village clinic. We know most of the people by name, which makes the job feel a bit more personal. It can get dusty being near the road, but we keep the clinic as clean as we can. We don't have a big budget or any fancy technology. It’s just a doctor and a few staff members doing what they can. Gopalpur is a quiet place, and we’re just one small part of it. The kids sometimes play outside while their parents are inside talking to the staff. It works for us.
