Capital Hair Dressers

If you go behind Kailash Chowk in Ludhiana and head towards Civil Lines, you will find us near Fauji Market. We are located in Gurunanakpura, which is a busy part of the city with lots of narrow lanes and people always on the go. Capital Hair Dressers has been a part of this street for quite some time. The shop has that old-school feel to it, with the smell of aftershave and the sound of scissors clicking away all day long. We have a few chairs that have been refurbished a couple of times. The floors are easy to sweep, which is good because hair gets everywhere. Being near Fauji Market means we get a lot of different people coming in, not just the locals from Civil Lines. Some people are just passing through and need a quick tidy up. We don't have any fancy machines or big television screens. It’s just a place where you can sit down, get your hair cut, and maybe talk about the cricket score or how much the price of vegetables has gone up lately. The light in the shop is okay, but we added a few extra bulbs last year to see better on the cloudy days. It’s a steady kind of work, and we like being right here where everything is happening in Ludhiana. We open the shutters every morning and just wait to see who walks in through the door.
