Our office is tucked away in Gauri Apartment, which is part of the Navnirman Society. It’s number 14, right on the Ring Road. If you know the society, you know it’s a decent spot. We spend a lot of time just sitting in the office waiting for the phone to ring or for someone to walk in with a question about a house. The Ring Road stays busy, so there is always a bit of a hum from the cars going by. We started this because we lived around here and realized people needed someone who actually knows the blocks and the neighbors. It’s not a big corporate setup. We have some old chairs and a desk that’s seen better days, but it works for what we do. Dealing with real estate here means knowing which buildings have good water supply and which ones have parking issues. We talk to a lot of owners and tenants every day. Sometimes we’re out showing a place and the keys don’t work right away, which is always a bit embarrassing, but that’s life. We just try to be honest about what a place looks like before someone signs anything. It’s a lot of local gossip and checking prices. We don't use fancy software, just our notebooks and what we see with our own eyes. It keeps us busy enough throughout the week. The rain sometimes leaks through the window frame a bit, so we keep a cloth handy for that. We are just local people doing local work.
